A recent article from Forbes suggests some future workplace trends to be aware of in 2024. With regards to agile\flexible work: The shift from a fully remote work setup to hybrid models is unfolding as businesses and the workforce aim to balance in-person creativity with autonomous collaboration, a change met with disappointment by some employees accustomed to the remote lifestyle sparked by the pandemic. The hybrid model, predicted to see an 81% adoption rate with notable support from Gen Z, demands a dialogue between employees and employers to mutually decide on its daily structure, whether it entails one, two, or four office days per week. Furthermore, individuals facing unemployment or considering a career shift are advised to broaden their prospects beyond solely remote jobs, embracing flexibility regarding in-office attendance and commute distances to enhance their employability in this evolving work landscape.
